Meet Lisa Yvette
I capture maternity and newborn portraits, while my associate photographer, Zakiyah, captures first birthday milestone portraits. Seasonally, we capture families too!
While working full-time in Information Technology, I studied photography, attended workshops, and captured a variety of subjects. I eventually found my passion with babies and bellies and opened my studio. Creating these heartfelt portraits truly brings me joy. I am happy to get up each day and do what I love, and I’m truly honored to share in some of your family's most cherished moments.
My love of photography was inspired by my dad, who created and preserved videos and photos of our family long before I was born.
Growing up, my dad gave me a camera and made sure we developed our films, leaving me with cherished photos of my loved ones. It was a missed opportunity to capture my mom with all of her children, grandchildren, and new great-grandchildren before her passing that still upsets me. Having a large family photo on her living room wall was the one gift I wanted her to have and enjoy. I had no idea that just a short time later, mom would no longer be with us. It's so important to capture your loved ones while you can. As a mother of two, grandmother of two, aunt, and great aunt of 12, I'm so thankful to be a portrait photographer where I can create memories for my family.
Encouragement is key in my studio, where I aim to make clients feel welcomed and confident. By fostering a supportive atmosphere, we craft beautiful, emotive memories together.

Lisa brings over three decades of experience in newborn care, expertise in baby posing, First Aid certification, and is fully vaccinated with all shots, including for Covid-19. Lisa will assist you in deciding your favorite images and how you’d like to showcase them, whether through an heirloom album or a bespoke wall gallery.
