I’m here to guide you through every step, answering any questions you might have. Together, we'll plan all of the details of your maternity session with a design consultation. You'll also receive a preparation guide to help with all the little details to ensure you are ready.
I hold a deep belief in the unique beauty of every pregnancy journey, embracing every curve and mark. Please feel comfortable knowing that you’re in a safe and respectful space. I personally retouch each image to reflect how you wish to be seen. The choice is yours, whether you prefer to be fully clothed, to showcase just your belly, or to embrace a full nude portrait. Should you decide to include any partial nude images of your body, rest assured, we respect your privacy and never share those photos without your permission.

Families come to my studio for stunning maternity portraits that reflect the anticipation, love, and joy their new baby will bring. They leave not just with high-quality portraits perfect for sharing with loved ones but also with gorgeous pieces of artwork to display in their home.
You're welcome to schedule an appointment in advance with one of our hair and makeup artists or select your trusted stylist. The choice is also yours for either fine art studio or outdoor session. You get to decide what’s best for you.
Given the demand for our bespoke maternity sessions, my studio calendar fills up months in advance. I suggest booking early in your second trimester, so we can plan a session between your 28-34 weeks of pregnancy — when your belly is nice and round yet you're still comfortable for posing. You have to option of doing a studio session or embrace the light of the golden hour with an outdoor session.

Maternity sessions start with a $250 retainer fee to secure a date and time. This retainer is then deducted from your chosen package.

We strongly suggest book while in your second trimester (14-25 weeks) to guarantee a date. Your session will take place place between 28-34 weeks. If you will need newborn portraits as well with our studio, you must book a bundle.
01. When should I schedule my session?
You have a choice of either our SW Charlotte studio location or one of our favorite outdoor locations around the city of Charlotte.
02. Where will the session take place?
Yes! Dads are siblings welcomed to share the experience with you.
03. Can my partner participate?
You are welcome to pick wardrobe items from the studio. We stock over 150 dresses, fabrics, robes, bodysuits and more. Though not necessary, you are welcomed to bring items from home if desired.
04. What do I wear?
Great question because this is what makes us unique. Your proof reveal day is the same as your photo session. After picking out your faves, Lisa Yvette will edit the ones you love most allowing us to get them back to you sooner, usually 1-2 weeks.
05. When do I get my edited photos back?
A signed agreement and a session retainer fee. The upfront retainer fee covers photographer’s time, talent, and materials.
