Whatever the reason, we love capturing babies at this fun age and have all the tips and tricks to help your baby enjoy their celebration.
Before your session, we’ll sit down for a consultation to plan all the details. We'll also share a preparation guide to help ensure your baby is ready for the big day! The studio will provide with an infant-sized cake and will craft a set from your selection of studio backdrops and props. We also offer a selection of outfits for both girls and boys that are perfect for your one-year-old.
Depending on your chosen package, we'll start with some dress-up portraits of your baby. Then, it’s time for outfit change into something more suitable for a cake smash. Following the fun and messy cake, there’s an optional bubble bath awaiting to clean up your little one. Once everything’s wrapped up, you’ll have the opportunity to review the photos, select your favorites, and decide on the best way to cherish and display these memories.

Cake smash sessions start with a $250 retainer fee to secure a date and time. This retainer is then deducted from your chosen package.
Our clients typically invest an average of $650-$2450 on their cake smash experience.

Sessions can take place 10-13 months, but we suggest you reserve 2-3 months in advance of your preferred session date.
01. What's the best age and when should I book?
At this time, we only do the cake smash in our SW Charlotte Studio.
02. Can we do the session outside?
Yes, we provide decorations that we currently have in studio.
03. Do you provide decorations?
Yes, we use a professional baker for cakes but if your baby has food allergies, we will direct you to one of our Vegan vendors or your own.
04. Do you provide cake?
Babies at this age get tired or bored pretty quickly. So we like to keep the session to 1 hour to keep your baby engaged. This is just enough time to do the full smash session. If you’d like family photos, we can schedule those during one of our mini sessions.
05. Can parents or siblings participate?
Great question because this is what makes us unique. Your proof reveal day is the same as your photo session. After picking out your faves, Lisa Yvette will edit the ones you love most allowing us to get them back to you sooner, usually a week.
06. When do I get my edited photos back?
A signed agreement and a session retainer fee. The upfront retainer fee covers photographer’s time, talent, and materials.
