I'm here to answer all your questions and share insights on the art of modern newborn photography. We aim to capture your newborn’s portraits between days 7 and 15, a time when they’re still in that dreamy, sleepy state, making it ideal for beautiful, peaceful photos. A preparation guide will be provided to help get you and your baby ready for the session.
Your baby's safety and comfort are always my top priorities. With my extensive background in newborn photography, including numerous workshops, safety and first aid training, and caring for hundreds of newborns over the past 30 years, I promise to bring not only a professional but also a nurturing approach to capturing these precious early moments.

My approach to newborn photography is rooted in simplicity, clarity, and a focus on your baby’s natural beauty. Our studio is stocked with newborn outfits and accessories, including an extensive collection of bonnets, hats, headbands, swaddles, and posing fabrics, along with props to perfectly style your session. We’re always refreshing our selection with new props and clothing to ensure your newborn's photos are truly one-of-a-kind. The optimal time for capturing these moments is between days 7 and 15, when your little one is most sleepy and flexible. Sessions take 1.5-3 hours.
Given the demand, our studio’s calendar is usually booked months in advance. To secure a spot for your newborn’s photo session, I recommend booking 2-3 months ahead of time, ideally when you schedule your maternity photoshoot.

Newborn sessions start with a $250 retainer fee to secure a date and time. This retainer is then deducted from your chosen package.

We recommend booking during your 2nd trimester to guarantee your baby's session. The actual session will take place between day 7-15 after birth, depending on delivery date and the health of both mom and baby.
01. When should I schedule my session?
All sessions take place in our SW Charlotte studio where we have direct access to a full array of baby clothes, props, and accessories such as teddy bear, headbands, hats, and crowns. At this time, we do not offer in home sessions.
02. Where will the session take place?
Yes! Parents and siblings are encouraged to participate.
03. Can parent take photos with their baby?
Yourself, your baby, and a baby bag with essentials.
04. What do I bring to the session?
No worries mama, I will address all of these questions for you and more.
05. My baby's skin has acne or is peeling. My milk is slow to come in. What do I do?
Great question because this is what makes us unique. Your proof reveal day is the same as your photo session. After picking out your faves, Lisa Yvette will edit the ones you love most allowing us to get them back to you sooner, usually 7-10 days.
06. When do I get my edited photos back?
A signed agreement and a session retainer fee. The upfront retainer fee covers photographer’s time, talent, and materials.
